Special Sessions

Special sessions offer a venue for presentations that focus on specific topics, and provide an opportunity to discuss challenging issues or common research problems. The format of special sessions consists of 4 to 6 presentations and allows a panel discussion led by the session chair(s), to motivate the exchange of opinions among presenters and participants. Special sessions papers will follow the reviewing process of regular papers.

The proposal for a special session should be sent by the organizers to the IPC Chairs via email to wodes2014@lurpa.ens-cachan.fr by October 31, 2013, and should include:

  • Title of the session and keywords,
  • Names, affiliations and contact addresses of the organizers, including email addresses,
  • Description of the proposed session for reviewing by the IPC Chairs,
  • Brief description of the session for publicity in the WODES'14 website,
  • If possible, tentative titles of at least four (4) contributions, together with the names and contact addresses of the contributing and committed authors.

Special Session Organizers will be notified on the acceptance of their proposal some days after their demand. In case of acceptance, organizers will request the authors of their invited session to submit their papers by the due date for regular papers (November 8th, 2013). The calls for papers will also be posted on the "Special Sessions" page of the conference website. Interested authors must contact the session organizer(s) for requesting to be included in the session.

Special sessions papers will follow the calendar and the reviewing process of regular papers. They must be submitted through PaperPlaza Conference Manuscript Management System as regular papers.
In addition, a message including the title and the authors’ names of the submitted paper and the code (SPE_#) of the special session concerned has to be sent to wodes2014@lurpa.ens-cachan.fr.
