Göteborg is a city on the west-coast of Sweden with a population of around 500.000, making it the second largest city in Sweden. The city is about 300 kilometers away from each of the Scandinavian capitals Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo, and is at the very centre of northern Europe.
Göteborg is a large city with a small town atmosphere. Most tourist attractions are within walking distance.
The city has two universities, Göteborg University and Chalmers University of Technology together with about 60.000 students.
