Venue:
The Workshop will take place at the Grand
Hotel Chia Laguna, which is in close proximity to Cagliari (on the
map of South Sardinia look for Chia, in the south-west) situated on the
south coast of Sardinia. The hotel offers every modern facility needed
for a top class conference including spacious air conditioned lecture rooms,
up to date audio/visual technology and office facilities for delegates.
This venue is perfectly situated in a beautiful natural setting, surrounded
by a natural park and only a short walk from the pure sea waters of Sardinia.
The leisure facilities are of the highest standard including swimming pools,
tennis courts and water sports which are ideal for relaxation during the

Registration and accomodation:
Participants will be able to register for the
Workshop on a residential or non-residential basis. All fees are in
British Pounds.
Residential registration
Residential accommodation will be provided at the Workshop Hotel and
includes a copy of the Proceedings, full-board for
three days (Tuesday 25: dinner and accomodation; Wednesday 26 and Thursday
27: full-board; Friday 28: lunch), refreshments and the Workshop Dinner.
Participants may select one of three rates: single occupancy; shared
double room; or accommodation in a residence with 4 sharing (2 double rooms
with shared bathroom).
Residential participants may bring partners and their
accommodation can be booked using the WODES 98 registration form.

If you would like to keep your room for a period
longer than the duration of the Workshop (i.e. Tuesday-Thursday night inclusive),
this will need to be arranged directly with the Grand Hotel Chia Laguna,

The Chia Laguna hotel has agreed to keep some rooms from the night of Monday,
August 24 to the night of Saturday, August 29 inclusive for participants
that would like to stay for longer than the three days of the conference.
Note that the hotel has agreed to keep the rooms until June 20,
so you need to book for the extra nights well in advance of the conference
registration deadline to be sure to find a room.
Non-residential registration
Non-residential registration includes a copy
of the Proceedings, lunches, refreshments and the Workshop Dinner only.

Reduced rates are available for students. Student
